Dr Maya Haviland

Dr. Maya Haviland's primary area of study focuses on co-creativity and the dynamics of collaboration in the cultural sector; creative practices in collaborative anthropology; and, the role of community arts in cultural and historical research and community development.  She is a Lecturer in Museum Anthropology at the Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies, in the School of Archaeology and Anthropology at the ANU.

Through the ANU Translational Fellowship, Maya aims to identify, articulate and test scalable methodologies for sustained cultural co-creativity and value co-creation. Through supporting collaborative action research with partner organisations in Australia and internationally, and testing of methods of knowledge transfer and dissemination, the Translational Fellowship will enable pioneering empirical research on the dynamics of creative collaboration and value-co-creation that will have application in inter-disciplinary responses to a range of organisational, fiscal and cultural challenges.
