CoS Academic Staff Member Elections to Academic Board

Report of the Returning Officer on the election of three members of Academic Board by Members of the COS Academic Staff Members 2024

The 2024 election of three members of Academic Board by members of the academic staff of the ANU College of Science was held in accordance with the Academic Board Protocol 2021. 

At the close of the initial nomination period one nomination was received. The candidate was Dr AJ Mitchell. As the nomination did not exceed the number of positions to be filled, Dr Mitchell was declared appointed for a 2-year term commencing 2 May 2024. 

At the close of the second nomination period one nomination was received. The candidate was Dr Rachael Rodney Harris. As the nomination did not exceed the positions available to be filled Dr Rachael Rodney Harris was declared appointed to a 2-year term commencing 2 May 2024. A casual vacancy was declared for the third position. 

The candidates and their nominators were checked against the academic staff roll comprising of eligible CoS academic staff members who held their appointment on payday 14 March 2024 and were paid a salary on that day. The nominations were in order.
