Mr Ilham Hatmawan
Ilham is a policy professional currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the Australian National University’s Crawford School of Public Policy. He is also a Senior Residential Mentor at Wamburun Hall. As a criminologist, Ilham brings a distinct perspective on criminal policy practice and research. His area of expertise lies around vulnerable group protection and public trust building, while his interest extends to the field of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), risk management, and national security.
He used to work as a consultant for the Indonesian Presidential Special Staff for Social Affairs in 2022—2023, focused on formulating digital projects for persons with disabilities in Indonesia. Prior to work for the Indonesian government, he was a consultant at PwC Indonesia, handling projects under the Fraud, Risk, and Regulatory Enforcement division.
As a member of the committee, Ilham aims to represent the voice of students who identify themselves as international student, postgraduate student, minority group, and first generation earning higher education’s degree.
