ANU Archives 75th Anniversary exhibition tour

Go on a walking tour of the ANU Archives specially curated exhibition, "75 Years of the Australian National University: Building Australia's National University".

The exhibition showcases incredible photographs of University buildings from across the last 75 years. These images capture moments in our history - showing students and academics interacting with buildings and spaces on campus.

A section of the exhibition is devoted to information about Fred Ward, the first head of the ANU design unit, who oversaw campus planning, furniture and interior design. Once you have seen the beautiful Fred Ward designs and drawings we have on display, you will realise you've seen his work all around campus (and maybe even sat in one of his iconic chairs!).

The exhibition also features a range of maps and plans of the University and surrounds. It is fascinating to see how our campus has changed and developed over the past 75 years, in particular where building locations and uses have shifted over time.

The exhibition is located in the R.G. Menzies Library foyer and the ANU Archives reading room.
