ANU Law and Philosophy Forum: Fair labelling in criminal law

Presented by ANU College of Law

The ANU Law and Philosophy Forum is delighted to announce its ninth meeting in 2021: a work-in-progress seminar with Khomotso Moshikaro, on 'Fair labelling with excellence: implications for criminal law'. All are welcome to attend.

Khomotso Moshikaro is a doctoral candidate in Law at Trinity College, the University of Cambridge, and a lecturer in Private Law at the University of Cape Town. He was educated at the University of Pretoria, and has a BCL from the University of Oxford. Khomotso's research spans criminal law and theory, jurisprudence, and moral philosophy. His PhD focuses on the morality of the state labelling of criminal offenders, and is supervised by Dr Antje Du Bois Pedain and Dr Findlay Stark. Khomotso will talk to the ANU Law and Philosophy Forum about the ethics of fair labelling in criminal law, and how this relates to our understanding of criminal wrongdoing.
