ABOUT THE SERIES

The ANU Media Law seminar series aims to foster research and research-led teaching in all aspects of media law, including defamation, court reporting, parliamentary reporting, privacy, freedom of expression, and journalistic standards.

As the rapid and often disruptive development of information technology continues to affect media law, it is all the more important that the discipline of media law demonstrate it retains theoretical and doctrinal rigour.

The seminar series brings together leading scholars, judges and practitioners in the field, and hosts discussions on developments in all areas of media law, including guest speakers and research in progress, in Australia and overseas. Seminars are open to all members of College and the College's networks, as well as all HDR students.
