Chris Hammer will be in conversation with Michael Brissenden on Chris's new novel Tilt. The latest stunning thriller from Canberra's international bestselling author, re-unites the two key characters from Chris Hammer's last novel, Treasure & Dirt, homicide detective Ivan Lucic and Detective Constable Nell Buchanan

A man runs for his life in a forest. A woman plans sabotage. A body is unearthed. Chris Hammer is the award-winning author of the international bestsellers Scrublands, Silver, Trust and Treasure & Dirt. Chris has also written two non-fiction books The River (2010) and The Coast (2012). Chris has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Charles Sturt University and a master's degree in international relations from the Australian National University.

Double Walkley award winner, Michael Brissenden has worked in Canberra for many years in various roles From 2017 to 2021 he was a reporter with the ABC's investigative television documentary program - 4Corners. His debut political crime thriller, The List was published in 2018 with his second, Dead Letters, published in 2021

Jeff Popple, who reviewed crime fiction for the Canberra Times for many years and is now reviewer for the Canberra Weekly , will give the vote of thanks.

This event is in association with Harry Hartog Bookshop. Books will be available for purchase on the evening in the Cultural Centre foyer. Pre-event book signings will be available from 5.30pm, and available again after the event.
