New ANU institute to advance First Nations gender equality
|
The Wiyi Yani U Thangani First Nations Gender Justice Institute will advance the voices of First Nations women and girls and help improve the policies and structures shaping the lives of First Nations people.
The new institute will be chaired by ANU Honorary Professor and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, Dr June Oscar AO.

Delegate applications for the Asia Pacific Week Conference are open

Join university students from around the world at this four-day conference held right here at ANU. In its fourteenth year, the Asia Pacific Week Conference will bring delegates together to delve into current crises affecting the region guided by professionals under the theme of Confluence and Creation in Asia and the Pacific. Constructing the scientific child in late Qing periodicals

Explore the world of childhood literature in late Qing dynasty China in this seminar with Dr Shih-Wen Sue Chen from Deakin University. Discover how periodicals like Xiaohai yuebao and Mengxue bao shaped the concept of the 'scientific' child, addressing China's future anxieties by advocating for scientific knowledge among the younger generation.

Free LGBTIQA+ Ally training is offered to all students as part of the University's commitment to providing a diverse and inclusive campus where all people can safely work and study free of harassment or discrimination. Workshop dates:

This 2-hour workshop will provide participants with knowledge and skills to create an inclusive culture for all LGBTIQA+ students and be an effective ally within the ANU community.
