Message from Utsav Gupta, PARSA President

In the midst of unprecedented times and changing lifestyles, I hope everyone got an opportunity to take a moment and enjoy the Easter break symbolising happiness, regeneration, promise and love. I am making the most of my time here in my room at Graduate House, such as picking up some new culinary skills and making rather complex meals. There’s something about cooking that helps me take mind off from all the stress in the world and teaches me how to create something beautiful and hopefully, tasteful!

I also got to reconnect with peers, most of whom are busy preparing for the post break assessments. While speaking to them, I could sense a common observation on finding it difficult to be productive at their studies during lockdown and how it’s becoming frustrating to spend days inside. But before I could conjure up some words of wisdom to soothe their (and in-turn, my own) spirits, they would pre-emptively provide the solution to the problem as well. They understood the value of staying inside for themselves and everyone else, and are involved in supporting the university’s direction in ensuring that guidelines are being followed.

Message from Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)

I hope you had a restful and safe Easter break. I took some time off and enjoyed spending some down time cooking and renovating an old wardrobe.

I know some of you have raised concerns about remote learning, either directly with your student representatives or with the University. I thank you for your frank and constructive feedback. I wanted to write to let you know we are working with course convenors and your student representatives to address some of the issues that have been raised.
