The Special Industry Project (SIP), a work-integrated learning course at CBE, has contributed to solving business cases presented by organisations across Australia. Mimicking the real-world consulting environment, 27 ANU students in Semester 1 worked on a case for Twofold Aboriginal Corporation.

Lightning never strikes twice, so the saying goes, but new technology may allow us to control where it hits the ground, reducing the risk of catastrophic bushfires.

The report on the alleged war crimes by special operation members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in Afghanistan is the most significant modern inquiry, an ANU international law expert says.

Almost three-in-five Australians (58.5 per cent) say they will definitely get a COVID vaccine once it is available, but six per cent of the population say they definitely won't. The analysis, led by the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods, examined COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and resistance and builds on a survey of 3,000 adult Australians.

An international team of scientists, led by ANU and RMIT University, has defied nature to make diamonds in minutes in a laboratory at room temperature - a process that normally requires billions of years, huge amounts of pressure and super-hot temperatures.
