Strengthening ties with universities in the US

At a recent visit to Indiana University, the Vice-Chancellor was presented a special medal made from old bells salvaged from the university’s Bloomington campus. The medal, presented to ANU, signifies the two universities’ commitments to working with each other across a range of disciplines.

To those who have donated blood this year, the Red Cross thanks you

Students and staff have made 1,975 donations of blood in 2019 to the local chapter of the Australian Red Cross.

Setting sights on the Indo-Pacific

Seven of our students have won New Colombo Plan scholarships in the latest round of the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan scholarship program. They join a growing list of ANU students who have gained valuable overseas experience as part of their university studies.

The ANU Postgraduate and Research Students’ Association recently hosted a party to celebrate LGBTIQ+ members of our community. The party was held on the second anniversary of the ‘YES’ vote.

The ANU North American Liaison Office has had a busy year - they moved, hosted a School of Art & Design exhibition and helped launch InSpace. Read their highlights in this 2019 wrap up.
