Message from the Chief People Officer, Kate Witenden - Update on the University’s Enterprise Bargaining

Last week representatives of the ANU, NTEU and other bargaining representatives engaged in a productive four full days of intensive bargaining meetings.

There continues to be a strong trend of all parties continuing to work hard to achieve an agreement.  Over the course of the week, 29 clauses were discussed in total, including clauses relating to casual, fixed term and continuing (contingent funded) employment, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, review of decision, misconduct and serious misconduct.

Following last week’s intensive meetings, parties have now discussed and made good headway on 98 per cent of all clauses in the current agreement. The below table summarises the current status of bargaining of current clauses.

Further information on the bargaining process can be found on the Enterprise Agreement webpage. If you have any questions, please contact ea.comments@anu.edu.au
