Staff Spotlight: Professor Kylie Message-Jones |

To ensure that our shared memories and institutional history of this time would not be lost, Professor Kylie Message-Jones from the Humanities Research Centre invited colleagues from 13 different campus buildings and work areas to share their experiences.
Kylie has woven their testimonies into a new article, reflecting on people’s sense of loss and disruption but also resilience and hope as we continue to restore buildings and community connections. Read the story We hope to tell many more staff stories in future editions. If you know someone who deserves a spotlight, get in touch with the On Campus team. |

Team Based Learning Workshop |
Wednesday 15 November, 1-3pm
Engaging a lecture room full of students in lectures can be difficult. When asked “any questions?” many students remain quiet or avoid the lecture and watch it recorded at their own pace later. Sometimes the difficulty can be in getting the students in the room. Team-based learning is a method of engaging students with peer-to-peer learning guided by an instructor. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the theory and practice of Team-Based Learning and experience it for yourself. Register now |

Performance at ANU | People and Culture Division |
The People and Culture Division are developing a new performance process and online tool to replace the current Performance Development Review (PDR) system, in consultation with a large group of representative stakeholders from across the University. This project takes action on the feedback you submitted in the most recent ANYOU staff engagement survey (March 2023) which highlighted dissatisfaction with the current PDR system and a need to improve the experience of feedback and development conversations for supervisors and staff. The new system will be available on an opt-in basis from early 2024, with the current PDR process to be gradually phased out. Read more |
