Save the Date: Wattle Upgrade & Outage, 5–6 December 2022 The University’s Learning Management System, Wattle, is being upgraded to the latest version of Moodle (4.0). Wattle will be unavailable for staff and students on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 December.

ANU sets a new standard for high-quality carbon removal
ANU has established a set of principles to guide ANU carbon removal projects and carbon credit purchases to assist in achieving the University's below zero emissions goal.
The short-term aim of the principles is to achieve net zero emissions by 2025 with commercial carbon credit purchases. From 2030 onwards, the principles aim to achieve below zero emissions with carbon removal that is tied to ANU land, research, teaching or partnerships.

Charge Around Australia STEM Roadshow
Monday 21 November, 9am Charge Around Australia STEM Roadshow will be stopping by ANU next week. A Tesla is making its way across Australia - being recharged in part by a new type of printed solar cell developed by the Centre for Organic Electronics (COE) at the University of Newcastle. Director of the CAA and driver of the Tesla, Stuart McBain, will talk to the ANU community and ACT school students about the project. Launching Cybernetics at ANU

ANU to play a role in eight new ARC Centres of Excellence
ANU will play a pivotal role researching issues of national and international significance as part of eight new Australian Research Council (ARC) Centres of Excellence (CoE).
In 2021 the ANU Council approved the Digital Master Plan (DMP) which presented the vision for the University’s digital future. As part of this, the University committed to the Student First Program which will be the largest transformation project undertaken by the University.
Student First Program Director, Dean MacDonald, explains that the Program is unique in that it will consist of several initiatives all aimed at uplifting the student and staff experience.
