There will be a phone outage at the Acton campus on Sunday 27 November from 8am-12pm. All phones at the Acton campus will be unable to make or receive outside calls. This includes emergency calls to 000. If you need to call campus security from a mobile phone during this outage period please dial 0438 188 321. All phones at the Acton campus will still be able to call Security by dialling 52249.
As we head into a potential fourth-wave of COVID-19, be sure to stay up to date on COVID-safety measures at ANU. Staff and students must still register their positive results with ACT Health using the online form, or with the state/territory health authority where you are located. You must also alert the University through this online form. Masks are encouraged but are no longer required indoors at ANU except in clinical settings.

Bringing academics and policymakers together
A leading ANU public policy researcher has pledged to use a prestigious fellowship to continue his mission bringing academics and policymakers together.
Professor Robert Breunig has been made a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia, an honour reserved for leading academics, policymakers and practitioners in the social sciences.
"I am very honoured and grateful to be elected to the Academy," Bob said.
Call for Book Proposals – ANU College of Law ECR Prize
There are only a few weeks left to submit proposals for the ANU College of Law’s ANU Press ECR Prize in Legal Scholarship, awarded annually to the most outstanding and insightful manuscript submitted to ANU Press in any area of law and legal studies by an early career researcher. The prize-winner will receive AU$2,500, have costs covered for publishing an open-access monograph up to 80,000 words with ANU Press, and an invitation to visit ANU to launch the book at an ‘ANU Press Lecture in Law’.
We welcome submissions from all early career researchers (i.e. any candidate who has completed their doctoral degree no later than five years from the date of submission of proposal) based anywhere in the world and from a range of perspectives. We especially encourage proposals touching upon novel, cutting-edge, and emerging areas of legal research, including ideas based on interdisciplinary approaches. Please submit your proposal to ANU Press before the midnight (AET) 9 December 2022.
PhD Q&A: The Caravans and Passageways of Ageing Workers
Lee Sarandopoulos from the ANU College of Business and Economics recently completed her PhD. Her research explores the factors that keep ageing populations in the workforce, or encourage them to leave.
