A window to our past
|
From 1954 to 1977, the ANU Design Unit (some members pictured, right) created thousands of items and spaces on campus. Founded by Fred Ward and Derek Wrigley, the unit soon became a team of multi-skilled designers across graphics, landscape and buildings.
With a nod to World Water Day today, it's worth noting one of Derek’s iconic designs was “The Eggbeaters”, a water feature that stood outside the original Bruce Hall at the end of University Avenue.
