Looking ahead to 2022
|
Hi everyone
Before you head off on your break, I wanted to provide you with a quick update on our planning for 2022.
Yesterday the Australian Prime Minister announced plans to remove border restrictions and quarantine requirements for vaccinated student visa holders. This is great news and an important step in bringing all our students back to Canberra in 2022.
We know that many of you are eager to know what next year will look like and while we don’t have all the answers just yet, we are optimistic that it’s going to be much more normal than the past two years.
We are working hard on our pathway to ‘COVID normal’ at ANU so that before the academic year starts, we can provide you with updates on:
- What campus life will look like in 2022
- Classes and their mode of delivery
- Progress on returning international and interstate students
- Graduation ceremonies
This will be the last student edition of On&Off Campus for 2021. I'm looking forward to providing you with further updates when it returns in February.
Enjoy the break and see you in 2022. Paul Duldig Chief Operating Officer |

Better timetable and allocations coming in 2022
|
We've listened to your feedback and will be introducing a more streamlined timetable and allocation system in semester two 2022.
The new system will allow you to view timetable options, allocate your preferred sessions and then export the completed calendar. This will remove the process of separate class allocation through Wattle.
We'll provide further updates about the system and how you can access it in the new year.
You can read more about the new system here. |

Honouring a pioneering leader of the residential experience

Sister Angela Cooney, the foundation Principal of Ursula Hall at ANU and a pioneering leader of the university residential experience in Australia, has died at the age of 97.
