Count the Ways
The ANU Fund is one of the ways in which we count on the support of our community to make a difference. By giving to The ANU Fund, you can support areas of greatest need across the university, where any gift can have an enormous impact. Together we can count the ways that we are helping the community and creating a better future for us all.
Some highlight projects include the School to Tertiary Outreach Mentoring Program (STOMP) which pairs ANU students with refugee students from Dickson College to support them academically and personally.
"Since last year, I've been a mentor with STOMP for two girls at Dickson College who both hope to go to ANU next year. I've been really impressed by their hard work and determination and I'm so glad that this program exists to help them achieve their dreams as they set up their new futures in Australia. I am grateful for (donors), who choose to invest in students like them, and like me."
Another project is World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education (WIPCE) which helps ANU Indigenous students attend a conference which is an international showcase of Indigenous education achievements and a cultural celebration.
"I am so grateful for alumni who choose to invest in students like me. Since becoming a student at ANU and studying at the Tjabal Centre, I have wanted to learn more about my ancestors, family, culture and traditions. The opportunity to attend a conference like WIPCE, where I could connect and absorb so many experiences from so many Indigenous peoples around the globe, was an absolute privilege."
