Medibank data breach
Many people around the country have been impacted by the recent Medibank data breach. We realised that this may have affected some ANU students, including international students with Compare Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) through Medibank or ahm. We want to ensure any ANU students who feel they have been impacted are aware of available support and actions that should be taken.
- For the most up to date information, including FAQs and available support, see Medibank at: Cyber incident updates and support | Medibank
- If you a Medibank customer, the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has also provided advice on what to do.
The Student Safety and Wellbeing team is also available for students for any additional support. Student Safety and Wellbeing can be contacted on 6125 2211 or at student.wellbeing@anu.edu.au. Students can also attend in person at Level 3, Health and Wellbeing Building, Kambri between 9am and 3pm.
For general preventative measures to keep your data safe online, please read the Australian Cyber Security Centre's practical ways to protect yourself online. ANU Cyber Sense training related to Protecting Your Identity is available on Pulse.
