Message from the Provost - Renew ANU Update

Dear colleagues, 
 
Today we are sharing the Implementation Plans for the Proposal to Realign ANU Academic Colleges and the ANU College of Health and Medicine Organisational Change Proposal. During the consultation period, more than 7,000 staff attended townhalls, and the Renew ANU website had more than 60,000 views.  

On behalf of the ANU leadership, I’d like to thank our community for your engagement and feedback. The implementation plans are now available on the Renew ANU website, and further feedback can be submitted to org.change@anu.edu.au.

These Implementation Plans are proposed to commence the week of 25 November 2024. From this time, the University will work to ensure the new Academic College structure can come into effect from 1 January 2025. 

Strengthening and realigning our Academic College structure will help our financial sustainability and keep us at the forefront of education, research and engagement. These changes will better position us to achieve our national mission in this resource-constrained environment both for today and for the longer term.   
 
These plans will mean change for our community. I know that change is experienced differently by each of us, so we have increased the range of support services available. I encourage you to access them if you need. 
 
We will continue to provide support to all staff directly affected by these changes. If you have any questions about accessing support, please email org.change@anu.edu.au. 
 
This is the first step of many we will take in the months ahead to better position ANU for the future.
