Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence & Community Service

Each year the Australian National University (ANU) may offer one prize known as the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence and Community Service.

The objective of the prize is to recognise outstanding students who have shown influence, demonstrated leadership and have made a positive impact within the Canberra, regional, national or international communities.

The value of the prize/s awarded is $5,000.

The prize will be on offer from 2018 and will continue on an annual basis (in perpetuity).

Funding for this prize has been provided through a bequest from the late Emeritus Professor John Love who passed away in 2016. Professor Love was deeply connected to ANU and the Canberra community as a teacher, pioneer researcher and philanthropist, with a career at the University spanning more than 40 years.
