The Christmas Day Public Holiday falls on Wednesday 25 December, 2024. The University will be closed over this time, as it falls over the University Shutdown period. The University will return to service on Thursday, 2 January 2025.

Christmas Day is a public holiday in many countries, and is celebrated religiously by a majority of Christians, as well as culturally by many non-Christians, and forms an integral part of the holiday season surrounding it.
