National Volunteer Week 2025

Celebrate National Volunteer Week with ANU+

National Volunteer Week (19–25 May 2025) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering, and ANU+ is leading the festivities this year. This special week is a time to spotlight the incredible contributions of volunteers and encourage others to take the plunge into this rewarding experience.

Why Volunteering Matters

Volunteering is defined by Volunteering Australia as "time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain." It is a vital part of our community, fostering connection, growth, and positive change. At ANU, we celebrate this spirit of giving through the ANU+ program, which encourages and formally recognises students’ personal development and contributions through volunteering.

What is ANU+?

ANU+ is a structured, non-academic program designed to help students reflect on their volunteering experiences, gain valuable life skills, and make a meaningful impact. Open to all enrolled undergraduate and postgraduate students, ANU+ is best started with at least one year of study remaining before graduation.

By joining ANU+, you not only contribute to your community but also enhance your learning journey with real-world experiences that make a difference.
