Partnerships in Southeast Asia
The Australian National University is a highly internationalised university, ranked first in Australia and seventh in the world for international outlook (Times Higher Education International Outlook Indicator from 2016/17). ANU has strong ties with Southeast Asia, including more than 5,200 alumni in the region.
In 2018, the ANU is looking to revitalise its mandate to engage with Southeast Asia with the establishment of the ANU Southeast Asia Liaison Office.
The liaison office interlinks research and academic partnerships, alumni and community engagement, and philanthropy, with the aim of facilitating the development of research and education partnerships in the region. We are looking to enhance the profile and reputation of The Australian National University and welcome the opportunity to discuss potential collaborations in the areas of:
- academic and research collaboration
- knowledge transfer and capacity building
- industry engagement
- student and staff mobility
- engagement with strategic partners, alumni, and donors.
The ANU has also developed strong relationships with key partners in the region which include:
- East Asia Forum
- New Mandala
